We kindly invite all guests and owners to take note of the following guidelinesto ensure a safe and pleasant experience when renting a bicycle:

• Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to rent a bicycle.
• Bicycles must be used responsibly and in full compliance with the applicable road traffic regulations.
• The use of the helmet, which is provided at no additional cost at the time of rental, is strongly recommended for your safety.
• When not in use, the bicycle must be secured with the lock supplied at the time of rental.
• Throughout the rental period, the user bears full responsibility for the bicycle’s security and proper care.
• All bicycles are delivered in good working condition and must be inspected by the user at the time of collection.
• Any irregularities or damage identified must be reported immediately.
• Martinhal Quinta and VDL Bike Hire disclaim any liability for accidents, injuries, or damages sustained during use, as well as for any mechanical failures that may occur.
• In the event of theft, the user will be held liable for the replacement cost of the bicycle, as per the following rates: road bike (€800), mountain bike (€150), children’s/junior bike (€100), ladies’ bike (€180), and electric bike (€800).
• Should a mechanical issue arise, please contact VDL Bike Hire or the Martinhal Quinta reception. A replacement bicycle will be provided whenever feasible.
• All equipment must be returned by the agreed date. Delays in return will incur additional charges, calculated based on the daily rental rate.
